Oreo and all the bunnies started the morning with a timothy flower for brunch. It is mani/pedi/brushing day. Everyone is still shedding up a storm. There will be lots of "we're sorry, please don't be too mad at us" toys/treats today. 😊

Our next pop-up is next Sunday, August 30th from 11AM-Noon at Just Roughin' It . We will be doing a Scottsdale pick up next week. We will know the date after Violet's vet appointment on Monday as we need to see when she needs to go in next.

Hi friends, Violet had another vet appointment. She had her antibiotic gauze changed and the incision site cleaned and flushed. Violet will go back again on Monday to have the same procedure. We are continuing her two antibiotics and pain meds. She is doing well. We will see how everything looks on Monday. Today's vet charge was $221.50. Thank you so much to Tammy A and Lauren A for the generous donations! They are a huge help with Violet's continuing medical bills.

Good morning, friends! Violet had a good night. She finished all her chopped salad, ate a little hay and drank water. The bunnies know they get a nighttime treat. When they hear the treat container open, they all jump in their beds, waiting for their treats. Last night, when Violet heard it was treat time, she jumped in her bed, too. It took her a little longer to eat the treat, but we were so happy to see she was excited to eat after her surgery. This morning, we will start her post surgery protocol of pain meds, antibiotics and mouth flushing. Thank you for all the love for Violet! Have a wonderful day!

We are happy to share that Violet is starting to feel more comfortable after her surgery. She cleaned her face a bit and then stretched out for a nap. :)

Hi friends, Violet is back from surgery. She is still a little groggy as her surgery just ended at 11:30AM. It was sort of a good news/bad news. The abscess itself wasn't too bad and cleaned up easily. Unfortunately, it moved into the bone a bit and the root of one tooth and the tooth was loose. Violet needed that tooth removed along with another smaller one next to it. She has antibiotic soaked gauze packed in the abscess site that will need to be changed every three days by the vet. Since the abscess wasn't too bad, she may only need the gauze changed a few times instead of a few weeks of changes. We will know more next week. Violet has an appointment on Friday and Monday for gauze changes. She will also be on two antibiotics, pain meds and we will be doing daily flushes of her mouth. We will also clean up her fur around her cheek after she has a chance to recover. Violet is currently resting after her eventful morning. We will be sure to keep you posted on her progress. The surgery cost was $943.05. This cost and her vet appointments/antibiotics from the past 2 weeks bring the total to $1168.05. We don't have the cost yet for her follow-ups and gauze changes.
