My heart isn’t ready to write this… but I know it’s time.

Copper Rain started in 2018 with a simple need—to help a family friend through their cancer journey.

After that first market, Mandi and I saw just how much this kind of support was needed. We hosted a small luncheon to see if others would want to join us… and from that, $4,000 was donated, a board was formed, and Copper Rain was born.

Over the next 8 years, we walked alongside one cancer family each year, raising over $50,000 in those early years and becoming lifelong friends with the families we served. Last year, we expanded to support four families—and it was one of the most incredible experiences.

This year, we partnered with Phoenix Children’s Hospital to support families in the rehab department—families facing unimaginable trauma.

In total, we’ve raised over $70,000 and had the honor of walking with countless families in their darkest moments.

What started as a small, no-name event for a friend grew into something so much bigger—Arizona local hearts coming together, and eventually becoming The Copper Rain Foundation.

What a ride. What a gift. What an honor.

And today… is a hard day.

Today, we are announcing that Copper Rain will be pausing.

There is so much need—especially for families walking through trauma—and we feel the weight of wanting to do more, and to do it better. While I don’t feel fully ready to take this step, I know it’s necessary. It’s time to pause, regroup, and rebuild in a way that allows us to serve more families, more deeply, in the future.

This is not the end. It’s a step back so we can come back stronger and more aligned with what’s ahead.

My heart is pulled in every direction not to step away—but I trust that this is the right call.

Thank you will never feel like enough for the love, support, and belief you have given us over these past 8 years.

What a year! It has been a gift to walk with these sweet families this year. Both Parker and Ayla are in their maintenance phase of their cancer journey. When we meet Parker he was just newly diagnosed, his family was shattered but they clung to each other and are making out on the other side stronger and closer than ever. Ayla and her family came to us right as they entered maintenance and have been rebuilding each day! These two families are so strong but their fight is not over yet so please be on the look out on ways to help love and support them as they finish this race. Their season maybe be over as one of our crew kids but they will always be apart of the Copper Rain family. Ayla is set to finish up around March and Parker is due to finish up the end of 2027. We love you both! Thank you to for giving us the gift of the ending our year together with beautiful jewelry. Thank you to for your incredible donation to these families! We know this will help the finish strong!!

What an amazing afternoon getting the opportunity to bless the kids of the 7th floor. These kids lit up with such joy as we handed out these packs. I meet a mom who was getting ready to send her daughter into surgery, she had tears in her eyes as she shared that her daughter loves watching the animal channel specifically the ones where they heal sea animals because they are just like her. Her mom picked the turtle sheets and couldn’t wait to make her bed while she was in surgery. What a gift to it was to hear their stories and join them in prayer.

What an amazing night at the BatCave! Thank you for hosting one of our amazing families!! Parker’s face says it all! The Wayne industries is an incredible foundation for kids who are heros!
