Thank you for sharing about Tasha and the incredible legacy she’s leaving behind!

The BCRF family is very saddened to share that Tasha Vatistas—wife and mother of four children—passed away from metastatic breast cancer on October 6.

After Tasha was successfully treated for breast cancer twice, she experienced another recurrence and was diagnosed with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer this year. At the end of her life, Tasha told family and friends that she wanted to support research into metastatic breast cancer to ensure that other families had more time with their loved ones. Team Tasha was born. Their challenge was simple: Do anything sports-related on or before October 3 and raise funds for research.

In less than two months, Team Tasha raised an incredible $134,000 which will fund 2,680 hours of research in a BCRF-supported lab. We are so inspired by Tasha’s selflessness and spirit, and we will continue Tasha’s wish to fund more research to be the end of breast cancer.
