Salty Scuba Squad Salty Scuba Squad Inc is a woman-led 501(c)(3) non-profit Scuba Diving and Paddleboarding group dedicated to cleaning up Arizona's Waterways.

The Squad removes trash and finds and returns treasures (cell phones, wallets, keys, etc) to their owners.

A Trashy Tuesday (TT) birthday celebration! Eli's 10th birthday was on TT and he wanted to spend his day "looking for treasures and trash" on the River. He found a set of Chevy keys, and he removed a bunch of trash from the shore and water. A future All-Star Squad member, for sure! 229 pounds of trash, 2 sets of car keys, and 5 vapes were removed from the river. Let us know if you recognize the keys. Eli would be happy to give them back!

Pulling out 337 pounds of trash on Trashy Tuesday put the Squad over 10,000 pounds removed for the season, so far. We had a great interview with Gayle from "Friends of the Salt River Horses" to start the day and then cleaned from Pebble down to Foxtail. We snagged a phone at the rapids at Foxtail and returned it to the owner today (less than 24 hours later). We also found a Ford fob with a Grogu keychain if anyone recognizes it?

Sunday Funday cleaning up from Sheeps down to Goldfield. We found phone #497 and it was still powered on so it must've gone overboard very recently. Let us know if you recognize it! No Medical ID is set up. We pulled out 360 pounds of trash and the most interesting find was a home-made paddle that looks like it was hand-stitched. Well done, but sorry you lost it (or ditched it?). It was great running into Jason and Natalia from River Rangers AZ Salt River Tubing crew was awesome at helping load our trash up into the SRT truck at Mud Cliffs. Redline Rentals and Sales provided a couple of paddle boards to help us clean the river. Arizona Department of Environmental Quality provided the Squad with our Red Onion bags. We handed one out to a group that wanted to take part in the movement. We love to see the community come together to make a difference!

Another great Trashy Tuesday with 508 pounds of trash removed from the Lower Salt River, including 41 vapes! We also found 2 phones - 1 already returned and have found and contacted the other owners for their reunion. It was great to have Natural Restorations join in on the fun as well! We know SALT RIVER WASTE AND TRASH TEAM - SWATT was out there as well on the lower part of the river while we cleaned Pebble to Goldfield. Awesome day!

New-to-the-river diver orientation went great this evening, Hannah crushed it. We removed 160 pounds of trash and many vapes. The cherry on top of the evening was the heroes that helped Marie get back into her truck with a partial paddle, radio antenna, rope, and a spoon?!
