🏆 YOUTH COUNCIL OF THE YEAR 🏆

We’re proud to share that our Youth Council has been named Youth Council of the Year at the 2025 UNITY Conference in San Diego! 🌊🏝️🎉🙌

This recognition reflects the incredible dedication, leadership, and heart our young leaders have poured into our community. From cultural preservation to youth advocacy, community service, and personal growth. These teens have shown up with heart, purpose and power.

Every meeting, every event, every moment of service mattered! 💪❤️

To ALL NATIVE Youth: your voices are strong, your presence is powerful, and your impact is lasting. Keep shining. Keep leading. The future is yours to shape. WE ARE THE LEADERS AND VOICES OF NOW!

🌟 Thank you UNITY for this honor, and thank you to everyone who continues to support and uplift our youth.

We want to thank our Community , SRPMIC Council, the Youth Services Department, our families, and our program’s mentors for always believing in us. It truly takes a village, and we have a pretty amazing village. 🐚🪶✨

With all our love,

🚨 February Recap 🚨

This month has been nothing short of amazing for our Youth Council! Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to:

✏️Feb 1st – 8th Annual Native Youth Identity Conference
We kicked off the month by hosting an incredible event at the ALA Campus in Salt River! The day was packed with inspiring workshops, exciting raffles, a youth-only Q&A with Tribal Council, and a 3v3 basketball tournament! 🔥🏆

📢 Feb 5th – Quarterly Update to Tribal Council
We proudly shared our latest accomplishments and upcoming initiatives with our Tribal Council.

🌎 Feb 7th-9th – UNITY MIDYEAR Conference
We attended the conference with Native youth from across the country! From learning about digital storytelling to helping host the O’odham Cu:dk with our Sister Tribes, it was an unforgettable experience filled with knowledge, culture, and new friendships. 💡🌿

February’s been one for the books! Stay tuned for what’s next! 🚀
