Our AFWA Valley of the Sun Chapter members participated in a meal packing community service project at Feed My Starving Children in Tempe this evening. We had a great time helping others in need. We also collected toys for The Foster Alliance Holiday Toy Drive. Thank you to everyone who has supported our events this year! Lots of events for members and friends to participate in next year!

Congratulations to Marcy Maslov, Founder of Empowerment Unlimited Coaching, LLC and Creator of e-Factor!® ethics board game. Marcy was recognized as one of the finalists for the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics in Arizona and last week won her category. Her speech included several examples of the challenges and rewards of standing for her values. Good reminders for all of us as we strive to build strong and ethical businesses.

Marcy is a past Chapter President of the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance Phoenix Chapter where we support women in all fields of accounting and finance to step confidently into leadership roles. She is also our go-to-person for a fun and informative ethics CPE experience for local CPAs. (Her next workshop is Friday December 5th in Phoenix.) Congratulations on this impressive and well-earned award and for setting an inspiring example of ethical leadership!
