Scottsburg Lions Club

Scottsburg Lions Club We have proudly served the Scottsburg and Scott County community for over 90 years! That's because we help where help is needed. In short, We Serve.

We have proudly served the Scottsburg and Scott County community for 90 years! Our members are very different in many ways, but we share a core belief - our community is what we make it. Here are some of the things our club has done to serve the needs of our community:

Invested over $60,000 by providing scholarships to deserving Scottsburg High School graduating seniors through the DQ Reid Scotts

burg Lions Club Memorial Scholarship program
Built shelter houses for the Scottsburg Parks & Recreation Dept
Building of the Kids Place Center and local YMCA
Teamed up with the local United Way to help build shelters and ramps for the disabled
Assisted in the acquisition of leader dogs for those who have lost their sight
Provided manpower for the clean-up, rebuilding and reforestation (planting over 500 trees!) of the Henryville area after devastating tornadoes struck the area
Developed a partnership with Scott County School District 2 (SCSD2) school nurses to provide eye exams and eyeglasses for the less fortunate
Assisted the local Little League organization by sponsoring a team and donating money for field improvements
Provided financial support to make the Dolly Parton Imagination Library available to all SCSD2 students
Collect used eyeglasses for the Lions Recycle for Sight Program

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
