The MSLC is honored to be considered for the Share Your Story Video Grant with the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville.
The Michael Scott Learning Center was established in October of 1998, as our rural town of Stevenson, Alabama, tried to create beauty from ashes, while remembering five beloved citizens lost in the tragic TWA Flight 800 crash.
Our mission is to provide enrichment activities for the diverse families in our community & surrounding communities, as well. In addition to providing enrichment activities, we also help provide basic necessities, such as school supplies, hygiene items, food, & other items as needed & available.
Each time the doors of our center are opened, our five beloved citizens are remembered & their legacy continues to live on. Every individual that enters our building, is loved, valued, & supported. The MSLC is not just a building, it is a family!
Our center has been at the heart of our community 30 years this October, for all generations to enjoy. Being a 501c3 nonprofit organization, solely ran by one full-time director & volunteers, we depend on donations & grants to be able to provide our services to everyone that would like to attend or who are in need. Thank you to the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, for your consideration!
