Alabama 4-H members ages 9-18 are invited to participate in the return of the state-wide riding contest, Happy Trails Horseback Riding. Advance through riding challenges over the course of 10 months and earn recognition for your time in the saddle! Registration for the 2026-2027 Alabama 4-H Happy Trails Horseback Riding Program has been extended through September 14th!

🐔What a Blast! 🐔

🍀The Jackson/ Madison County 2026 Chick Chain Show and Auction was a success! 16 project participants put on their best at the Jackson County Fair.

🍀We are so proud of everyone that finished this project! If you see someone you know in the pictures below be sure to tell them what a great job they did on Friday!

UGF SUPPORTS: Jackson County 4-H 🍀

Through hands-on learning, Jackson County 4-H helps young people develop leadership, citizenship, service, and valuable life skills.

This program takes only a limited number of applications and we are thrilled to have them participate. Each class will include career exploration and opportunities available in the region so our students can invest back into our communities! Congratulations🎉

Sand Mountain & Beyond is an initiative designed to help young people in northeast Alabama discover the area's many career opportunities.

A young person may join 4-H because they are curious about animals, science, gardening, public speaking or community service.

What they often gain is much bigger:

Responsibility.
Communication skills.
Confidence.
Leadership.
The courage to try something unfamiliar.
