Today, the Jackson County Economic Development Authority was proud to join local, state, and aviation leaders for the groundbreaking of a new maintenance hangar at Scottsboro Municipal Airport.

Municipal airports play an important role in economic development by connecting communities to businesses, supporting industry along with aviation-related jobs, and creating opportunities for future investment and growth. This project is another step forward in strengthening the airport and expanding its role as an economic asset for Scottsboro and Jackson County.

We’re proud to be part of this collaborative effort and excited to see this project take flight! ✈️

Leadership Skills Training Coming to Jackson County!

Jackson County Economic Development Authority is partnering with AIDT to bring Leadership Skills training to local businesses and industries.

These classes are designed for employees who are preparing for leadership roles or are already serving in leadership positions. Each class

📅 Leadership Foundation (LS 1): September 22–23, 2026
📅 Leading Through Others (LS 2): October 15, 2026
📅 Leading Oneself (LS 3): November 18, 2026

💲 Cost: $30 per class
