While the Alabama Forestry Commission has not put a burn ban in place at this time, as a precaution, residents are asked to refrain from any outdoor burning.

Dr. Jemison hosted the SAF chapter from Huntsville on a management tour of his property on 10/3. SAF members, Alabama A&M forestry students, ADCNR, 2 of the landowners and the Alabama Forestry Commission.

The Scottsboro Tree Board with help from the Master Gardeners and the AFC held the annual tree seedling give-away Saturday, 2/24 and gave out seedlings to local residents. The empty spaces on some of the tables (shown in the Pic) were because we gave away 2000 seedlings in 30 minutes. Remember to celebrate National Arbor day on the last Saturday in April (27th).
