KSGB is planning a FREE youth sports equipment exchange to help give outgrown gear another season—and we’ll need your help to make it a success!

Start sorting through those closets, garages and equipment bags for clean, complete and fully usable youth sports gear your family no longer needs. Your outgrown equipment could be exactly what another local child needs to get in the game!

Fact Friday: 👕📦 Did you know items you no longer need may still be useful to someone else? Clothing, household goods, toys, and other usable items don't have to become trash just because you're finished with them.

💡 Before tossing something, consider donating, selling, swapping, or giving it away. Keeping usable items in circulation helps extend their life and reduce waste.

Before recycling that plastic berry container, give it another use! 🍓🧶

Place a ribbon or a ball of yarn inside and feed the end through one of the openings. It helps keep your supplies contained and tangle-free while you work!

💦 We had a great time at Terrytown’s Splish Splash Summer Bash!

Thank you to the City of Terrytown for inviting Keep Scottsbluff Gering Beautiful to be part of Sunday's event at Hascal Park!

Visitors stopped by our booth to test their skills with our Only Rain Down the Drain Sorting Challenge 🌧️ and have some fun with our reuse game made from milk jugs, turning something that might otherwise be thrown away into a simple toss-and-catch game. ♻️

We also handed out some fun, reusable goodies, including 💧 reusable water balls, 📓 recycled-paper notebooks, and 🥤 reusable cups.

It was a beautiful afternoon to connect with families, have some fun, and share simple ways we can all reduce waste, reuse what we have, and help keep our community clean and beautiful. 💚

Fact Friday: 🏈👟⚽Did you know bringing a reusable water bottle to practices, games, and other school activities is an easy way to cut down on single-use plastic bottles? 🏐⛳🥎

💡 Fill it up before you leave and refill it throughout the day. One reusable bottle can replace lots of disposable bottles over time.

Small swaps can make a difference at school, on the field, and throughout our community. 💙

Cell phones, microwaves, and televisions are all accepted for electronics recycling at the City of Scottsbluff Environmental Services. ♻️ And that’s just a few of the items they accept — computers, printers, keyboards, cameras, monitors and many other electronics are accepted too!
💡 Residents can drop off accepted electronics at no charge. Businesses are charged $0.50/lb.
