John is still making music, most recently he performed at the Warren Buffet Cancer center for patients and families, and he’s started a quartet and they sang for their residence hall. All funds go towards food insecurity!

Today John came back to Scottsbluff from UNO, he was really excited to give out some money to 3 organizations that do so much for so many. First 4 pictures are of Larry Massie from 11:13 ministries who serves 2 hot meals and a sack lunch every other weekend for over 550 people who are home bound and homeless. We have worked in this ministry and seen the beauty of it! He was really glad to give Larry $1000 to continue all of his amazing work.
The 5th picture is with Maggie Bernal (Julio her husband leads this program) who helps with the Scottsbuff/Gering soup kitchen who has a free hot meal most days of the week at various churches in the valley . We also have volunteered at this ministry and he was excited to donate $750 to them. And finally the last picture is with Missi Iasillo who runs the Scottsbluff Cat pack program to help food insecurity in the SHS schools. He was excited to see Missi as she is a friend, but happy to give her $750 to help with her program. They fill approximately 170 bags for kids per week. We are so thankful for these organizations and all they do!

Yesterday John volunteered his time before he leaves for college. He sang at the Free Day at the zoo! He had a blast and his “son” from Big Fish the Musical and his family came out to watch! Thanks to everyone who supports our zoo!!! It’s an amazing ing gem here in the valley!

Come out the Festival of Hope and support local cancer patients. I will be playing from 12:30- 1 pm today! Mitchell Events Center at the Fairgrounds.

It’s been really busy lately! I haven’t been able to perform, but I have been performing! Went to state speech, brought back some hardware! State runner up in Humorous 🥈 and 4th with Graham in Duo!!!

Today John had GNAC speech meet in North Platte, he and his partner placed 1st in Duo, John placed 3rd in Humorous Prose, he missed the Winter Royalty pep rally, but he was crowned King! Be kind, love one another and be excellent!

It has been one year since this event! John started this charity in December of 2019, he had 2 gigs over Christmas break, got busy with school and then the shutdown occurred. He really wasn’t able to “Sing for Supper” due to Covid restrictions. This HydroZen event is what kickstarted his ability to do some good for others. Since then he has raised approximately $8000 and donated over $5000 for food insecurity in our valley! Thank you to everyone who has supported us, donated and followed us on this journey.
