Scotts Valley Mayor’s State of the City
Community Leaders to Share Updates and
Engage with Residents at Annual Gathering
Scotts Valley, CA – The Scotts Valley Senior Life Association is proud to announce the tenth annual Scotts Valley Mayor’s State of the City event, a cornerstone tradition designed to foster transparency, inform the public, and encourage civic engagement.
On Thursday, September 24th, the doors of Scotts Valley’s Community Performing Arts Center, now known as “The Landing,” will open at 5:00 pm, inviting residents to connect with city officials and community leaders. Presentations commence promptly at 5:30 pm, with no charge for admission. Attendees will be welcomed with light refreshments and an atmosphere that encourages open dialogue.
This year’s event will feature Mayor Donna Lind, who will introduce a distinguished panel of presenters: Police Chief Jayson Rutherford, Fire Chief Mark Correira, Water District Manager David McNair, and School District Superintendent Tanya Krause. Each will share updates on their department’s achievements over the past year and discuss priorities and upcoming initiatives for the year ahead. Among the topics to be addressed is the status of the highly anticipated Town Center project.
Following the presentations, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session, engaging directly with the panel and gaining valuable insights into the workings of their local government. Attendees are encouraged to prepare questions in advance to make the most of this unique opportunity to interact with city leadership.
Refreshments will be available in the lobby following the Q&A, where one-on-one conversations with presenters and fellow residents will further enrich the evening.
This annual event is hosted by the Senior Life Association, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to promoting educational opportunities and providing grants that benefit the health and well-being of senior citizens in the Scotts Valley community (FEIN 26-4549259).
