It's that time of year again!. The Duckies are running. Please join the wonderful folks at Omega Nu Santa Cruz for the 36th Annual Ducky Derby on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 live at Harvey West Park. The event will be from 10:30am - 3:30pm.

This is their major fundraiser and we hope you will consider adopting a duck or becoming a sponsor. Your support allows them to continue giving support in Santa Cruz County. They rely on sponsors like you to help them give scholarships to local high school students, stipends to local public school teachers, and charitable donations to nonprofits in the Santa Cruz community whose focus is on children and families.

Damians Ladder would like to thank Jim with New Concept Office in Morgan Hill for helping us to furnish our first business office in Scotts Valley. We are a small nonprofit and don't have lots to spend of office furnishings. We were able to get a set of office chairs, a standing desk, small filing cabinet and desk chair from Jim at incredibly reasonable prices.

All of us at Damians Ladder would like to thank SC41 Furniture & Mattresses for their continued generous support of our organization. It's wonderful to have community partners like SC41 helping our team further its reach into the homes of seniors and persons with disabilities. Thanks to their kindness, we are able to better assist those who need our help to remain in their homes safely and independently. Damians Ladder is proud to have participated in the Community Foundation of Santa Cruz most recent workshop on networking for nonprofits.

The workshop was excellent and reminded me of so many key things to remember when maintaining a strong business network. Deborah Lindsay did an excellent job of guiding us through an effective networking strategy.

We truly appreciate the Community Foundation and the Nonprofit Community Connection for their commitment to local nonprofit organizations. I look forward to the next event.

We are Damians Ladder and we help Seniors and people with disabilities get small home repairs done so they can live comfortably and stay safe at home.

When seniors and people with disabilities are unable to afford small repairs and updates to their homes, Damians Ladder provides these at low or no-cost to enable our clients to stay in their homes. Grab bars, stair rails, floor lighting, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, ADA toilets, and other small repairs reduce the risk of falls and improve safety and comfort. Our fully qualified and background-checked Service Volunteers provide the labor. Your funding allows us to purchase materials.

Damians Ladder is a nonprofit that provides low-cost or no-cost small home repairs for Seniors and people with disabilities, depending on the individual's situation. Our Service Volunteers are experienced and dedicated to helping Seniors in our community stay in their homes as long as possible.

Our Service Volunteers have assisted a variety of clients. In this case, we assisted a client who needed her entry stair railings brought up to code.
