Preparing to go to Manila in about a month. The plan is to also make stocks in Cebu Jakarta and then another country in Southeast Asia most likely Thailand before returning to the US.

Unfortunately, my trip is delayed once again due to the terrible devastation and deadly typhoon in the Philippines. I will be arriving now mid February in Manila and then Cebu before heading to Jakarta.

My trip has been moved to December. I will be in Manila Dec 2nd for 5-6 days then Indonesia for a week before Thailand for a few days. If you'd like to suggest an orphan project please reach out through our website

Starting with our founder, Tom Love, everyone who works with the organization donates his or her time and money. The volunteers who support this organization pay all administrative fees and expenses (including travel) no donor funds are ever used.

We will be going to SE Asia in August or September so if you know of any orphanages you’d like us to look at or of orphans living on the streets that we can build a home for we’d love to hear from you.

Unfortunately, when I began updating our website I was forced to update the php which initially crashed the site and while I was able to recover with the help of my hosting service the linked now don't work to many pages unless you double click. Please be patient as I try and resolve this.

It's been a long time since we could be active given our 501c requirements to have the orphanages monitored in person by our team. Thankfully, some of those restriction are being lifted and our ability to travel and visit locations is going to be opening up.

We plan our becoming active again in the coming 2-3 months so stay tuned.

While school has restarted in Thailand after school programs for the orphans are not allowed so they are left with nothing to do in the afternoon and evening.

Hope this changes soon so they can continue to receive training and fun activities that will enable a better life.

Our plans to open in Africa were put on hold in March and hopefully we will be able to move forward by July which is heavy dependent on the economy as this impacts donors and contribution levels.

We have done checks with the Orphanages we support and all is fine at this time with the kids and caregivers. However, the collapse of tourism has had a significant impact on donations dropping by as much as 90%.

This year I have reconnected with many old friends and added new ones so you may not know that I run an orphanage foundation primarily helping kids in SE Asia. We operate there because these are some of the worst conditions on the planet and we've been able to set up connections there who help keep an eye on things. So this year if your looking for a charity where 100% of your donations go to the children with no administration costs (salaries, warehousing, travel, ops etc) I'd like you to consider www.Phamile.org.
Keep in mind when you donate to St Jude's, the Red Cross etc the vast majority goes to administration (salaries, high priced medicines, pharmaceutical companies and infrastructure) that's why I started the foundation and why for now I keep it small.
Look careful how a charity words their claims such as 82% goes to care or research. St Judes CEO made $6.7M dollars last year and the doctors, other administrators and pharmaceutical companies make a ton from your donations. The Red Cross infrastructure requires the majority of all donations so their claim 80% goes to the affected area in a crisis goes to sustaining their business model (salaries, warehouses and equipment).
These organizations provide needed services but they've also grown to look more like corporations and governments than charities.
So if not The Phamile Foundation find a charity that guarantees 100% of the money you donate will be used do provide for what you intended.
