This Giving Tuesday, you can give the gift of stability. 🎁

For many of our Atlanta neighbors, a safe home is out of reach. At the Initiative for Affordable Housing, we provide the keys to a brighter future through our three core programs.

Your donation helps us empower women and children to overcome homelessness, prevent families and seniors from losing their homes, and provide paid job training through, re:loom.

Today, every single gift makes a difference. Help us build a stronger, more equitable Atlanta for all.

✌️✌️ 2024 and welcome 2025! What a long and strange trip it's been, but we're here and excited for a new year full of opportunities, challenges, and everything in between.

If part of your commitments in the new year involve giving back to the community, we have a need for volunteers. Use the link in our bio to find times where you can help out at our weave house in the Dectaur/Scottdale area. If you have specialty skills in landscaping, handy work, maintenance, or other areas, we could use your help too. Please contact us at [email protected].

We are optimistic about the future and can't wait to see where your support takes us ♥️✨️

Thank you 🙏🏼

✨️Giving Tuesday is Here!✨️

Did you know that just $90 a day or $2700 a month helps support a family in our Transistional Housing Program? That's more than just shelter- it's stability, safety, and the foundation for a brighter future.

But we can't do it alone. Every single dollar makes an impact, whether it's $5, $25, or $500. Together, we can ensure that more families in our community have the chance to thrive.

This Giving Tuesday, join us in making a difference at any level. Your generosity fuels hope, and hope changes lives. 💛

✨️Thanksgiving is a time when we reflect on all the blessings in our lives. However, it's also a time to be grateful for the challenges we've endured along the way, helping to shape us and guide who we are today.

We are grateful to the support of our community for believing in our mission, and we are grateful for the hardships, too🧡

If you would like to make a donation, the payment link is in the bio. If you would like to support us by shopping our beautiful handmade products this weekend, join us on Small Business Saturday from 10-2 at the re:loom Weavehouse. Address in bio. 🙏🏼✨️

Look who we found under our weavehouse porch! 😻

Meet this adorable family of mama and kittens. The litter, around 5 to 6 weeks old, includes a tortie, an orange tabby, a grey, and two black kittens—all as cute as can be! Mama is a lovely tortie. 🐾

Can you help us give this mama and kittens safe and loving homes? Give us a call at the weavehouse - 404-247-4134.

Join us at Patagonia Buckhead this Thursday, May 9 from 6 PM - 9 PM for a film night + good conversation, along with Scraplanta and other local reuse partners.

Patagonia’s new film The Sh*tthropocene is a mock anthropological view of humanity’s consumption habits, turning a satirical (yet brutally honest) eye on how everything is turning to s**t and why the impulse toward “more” might destroy us all.

Warning: Contains explicit language (if you hadn’t guessed that from the title)

Did you know? 🤔

According to Earth.org, roughly 15% of textile waste is recycled; the overwhelming remaining textiles are in landfills or incinerated. Unlike other materials like paper or aluminum, textiles are not commonly recycled, leading to massive environmental impacts.
