Chillin’ Time at the Mission

Sometimes healing looks like prayer, meetings, structure, and hard work and sometimes it looks like laughter under the shade tree, swinging in hammocks, and simply enjoying a peaceful moment together.

These moments matter too. Rest. Friendship. Fresh air. A safe place to just breathe.

Patio Moments Matter

A little outdoor refresh and a lot of joy at TK Mission today.

While some of the women were away at group, the others stayed back at the Mission planning and cooking dinner, setting up patio and enjoying the new furniture, and using the time to serve, laugh, and bond together across both houses.

We love seeing them take pride in the place they call home during this season of healing.

Today - literally a truckload of donations!

Today we were blessed with bags and boxes full of clothing and essentials for the women of TK Mission. These gifts may look like “just clothes” to some, but to our women, they are dignity, encouragement, and a reminder that they are seen, loved, and supported.

A special thank you Monica Henry, Courtney Martin, and Kim Gerald for the most recent clothing donations. Your generosity helps us meet practical needs while our women continue doing the hard work of healing and rebuilding their lives.

“When God Lifted My Head”

There was a time when I was completely broken, lost in addiction, and trying to find my way on my own. Today, by the grace of God, I am a woman walking in recovery with a strong faith in Jesus Christ.

During my time at TK Mission, a major shift happened in my journey. I stopped chasing my own wants and desires and began seeking God’s will for my life instead. That surrender changed everything.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity I was given to do the deep internal work that was necessary for lasting recovery. Sobriety is so much more than putting down a substance, it’s healing the wounds, changing the thinking, and allowing God to transform your heart from the inside out.

God showed up for me when I needed Him most. When I felt lost, He found me. When I felt hopeless, He gave me hope. It is true that God looks for the lost, and I am living proof of that.

To every woman, and every person, struggling with addiction: you are worthy. You are capable of getting sober. You deserve recovery. You deserve peace. You deserve a better life than addiction can ever offer.

If God could change my mind life, He can change yours too. ❤️
