Join VFW Post 805 this Saturday, September 19, 2026, for the 35th Annual POW/MIA Recognition Ceremony as we honor our nation's heroes. This year, the ceremony will be dedicated to the remembrance of the incredible life and service of Mr. Wilbert V. Rolves, a WWII veteran and former Prisoner of War, who recently passed away at the age of 102.

Mr. Rolves bravely served in the 45th Infantry Division and endured unimaginable hardship as a prisoner of war in Germany. His resilience, courage, and unwavering spirit are an inspiration to us all. For his extraordinary service, he was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart.

Let us come together as a community to honor the sacrifice of heroes like Mr. Rolves and remember all those who were prisoners of war and those still missing in action.

Event: 35th Annual POW/MIA Recognition Ceremony

When: Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM (Please arrive between 9:30-9:45 AM)

Where: VFW Post 805, 223 West 1st St, O'Fallon, IL

Hosted by: The Scott POW/MIA Council

The ceremony will be followed by a complimentary cookout. We hope to see you there as we pay tribute to the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country.

Good morning, Scott Families and Friends!

Let’s give a huge shoutout to the incredible Airmen who stepped up to support our youngest community members! 🛠️

The Family Matters Committee recently commissioned a team of dedicated volunteers to tackle a huge project at the Child Development Centers (CDCs): rebuilding the sandboxes! Out of four sandboxes that were inoperable and safety hazards, our team successfully repaired two of them this past Wednesday, with plans to rebuild the final two as soon as materials arrive!

Because of their hard work, about 220 children at the CDC have a safe, fun place to play and explore again! 🎨🧒 Playtime is back on!

A massive THANK YOU to our event POCs and all the volunteers who dedicated 6 hours of matched volunteer time through AFSA:

Event POCs:
TSgt Elijah Lewis (375 LRS)
TSgt Gerald Mena (A4S AMC HQ RAVEN)
