Service doesn’t stop when the uniform comes off. 🇺🇸✨

We are beyond proud to feature our meal sponsor for this Friday’s event gathering: American Legion - Post 404 St Louis Service Women.

Pictured here is their all-women team walking in honor—a powerful sight that many in our St. Louis community recognize from their solemn work at Jefferson Barracks and local patriotic observances. As the largest American Legion post in the city and one of only five all-women posts in Missouri, these ladies represent the very best of our veteran community.

Their dedication to honoring the fallen is matched only by their commitment to supporting those still serving. By sponsoring our meals this Friday, Post 404 is ensuring our sisterhood has a seat at the table and is well-nourished for a day of connection and empowerment.

A heartfelt thank you to Commander Esther Richards and the entire Post 404 team for their continued service and generosity.

Hand salute to these trailblazers! We look forward to seeing our veteran sisters this Friday!

🎉 Today marks 2 years of Sisters in Service as a nonprofit.
What started as a small support group for women veterans has grown into a community built on connection, healing, and purpose.

We’ve faced challenges, learned lessons, and most importantly—seen real impact in the lives of the women we serve.
To our volunteers, donors, partners, and women veterans: thank you. This journey has only been possible because of you.
As we celebrate this milestone, we’re also looking ahead.

📅 Join us June 12th for Unplug & Reconnect: Women Veterans Recognition Day Gathering as we gather to honor where we’ve been, where we are, and the women still serving.

We’d love to see you there.

Looking forward to attending again this year. Mark your calendars!

🇺🇲 ANNOUNCING OUR 2026 STL VETERANS BALL GUEST SPEAKER 🇺🇸

As we celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the St. Louis Veterans Ball and honor 250 years of our nation’s enduring spirit, we are proud to welcome a leader who truly embodies this year’s theme:

ONE NATION UNITED IN SERVICE

Please join us in welcoming Meredith Knopp, President & CEO of the St. Louis Area Foodbank.

A U.S. Army Veteran and former Captain, Meredith has continued her life of service far beyond the uniform leading efforts that fight hunger, strengthen families, and mobilize communities across the St. Louis region.

Her leadership reminds us that service does not end when military service concludes. It evolves. It deepens. It becomes a lifelong mission to uphold the dignity of others and strengthen the communities we call home.

As our nation reflects on 250 years of sacrifice, courage, and unity, Meredith’s story speaks directly to the heart of what our 5th Annual STL Veterans Ball represents:
Veterans continuing to lead, serve, and inspire.

✨ The STL Veterans Ball has a history of being sold out, and we anticipate our 5th Anniversary celebration to be our largest gathering yet.

Did you know June 12th is Women Veterans Recognition Day?

No — it's not another Veterans Day. That's November 11th, our federal holiday. This day is something different, and something specifically ours.
June 12th marks the anniversary of the 1948 Women's Armed Services Integration Act — the law that granted women permanent military status. We fought for that right. We earned it. And it's a crucial piece of history worth keeping alive.

From the Revolutionary War to those serving right now — women have stood tall with honor and dignity, paving the way for every woman who wears the uniform today.

Join us at SIS on June 12th to pause, reflect, and connect. Thanks to our incredible donors, this event is at no cost to you.

Thursday evening reminded us what community can do when people come together with purpose.

In just about a month, the M Factor 2 event came to life through an incredible outpouring of support from partners, volunteers, and community members who believe in the mission of Sisters in Service and empowering one another as women.

The goal was to bring together 150 women, and because of you, that number was exceeded. Thank you to all who showed up, supported, and helped make that possible.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped raise a total of $4,000 in support of SIS and our work serving women veterans and women who serve through connection, empowerment, and wellness.

A special thank you to Premiere U and the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce for hosting, your partnership and support in making this event possible.
