Another FUNdraiser to support Ryann & other local families! 🧡

Law enforcement from across Schenectady and Saratoga Counties are looking to “fill the stands” with supporters for an upcoming basketball fundraiser. Officers will be going head-to-head in support of three local families whose children are currently battling cancer.

What a Day!

We are still feeling the joy, the gratitude, and the incredible sense of community that filled the air at our Field Day for Nick.

Thank you to everyone who came out — to laugh, compete, connect, and most importantly, stand beside Nick and his family. We were truly overcome with emotion, and yes, there were more than a few tears of gratitude as we watched the crowd grow. It was a wave of love and support that words can’t fully capture. It was incredible.

Colin remarked afterwards that even when the skies opened up for a quick shower, “they all stayed.”

This day would not have been what it was without the amazing people who shared their talents and services to make it unforgettable:

** Charlton Volunteer Fire Department, thank you for the epic entrance es**rt and for giving the Henry family the unforgettable experience of riding in a fire engine — the kids were absolutely thrilled!

** Lifeline Duet, your music filled the fields with energy and joy. You lifted spirits and set the tone for a day rooted in fun, connection, and community — thank you for creating such a vibrant atmosphere.

** Karyn Healy, your face painting magic brought so many smiles to our youngest guests. Thank you for sharing your talent and creating little moments of happiness all over.

** Kona Ice of Clifton Park, thank you for the sweet treats that brought us all together. There's nothing like a cool cup of shaved ice on a warm day — especially when it’s shared with friends.

To every volunteer, every donor, every sponsor, and every single person who showed up — thank you. Your presence and support have proven again, and again, that this community really does have something special.

You all made a real, measurable difference for Nick and his family, who are now visiting with one of the top specialists in our country. We are forever grateful for all of you, and hope that we can continue to support each other for all of the miles and journeys ahead.

Silent Auction Items Supporting Nick Henry from The Miles Together

The images in this post are available as auction items. These items have been generously donated, curated or lovingly crafted to support Nick Henry and his family as they battle neuroendocrine carcinoma, and all the expenses that come with this rare and difficult cancer.

Rules:
1. Bid by commenting on the photo of the items you are interested in, or in-person with an auction volunteer at Field Day for Nick
2. Bidding will close on Facebook at 3:55pm EST Sunday, July 27th, but remain open for best and final bids until 4pm at Field Day for Nick in Charlton, NY.
3. Winners will be contacted, prizes accepted, and after a verified donation through our GoFundMe page, we will arrange pickup

Please remember that these bids are in support of a young family of 6 now facing some of the toughest miles in their life. We're here to support them!

Join Us This Sunday – Bring Your Bike, and Your Stripes

This Sunday at 1pm, we're inviting everyone—friends, family, neighbors, the whole community—to join us at the Charlton Volunteer Fire Department as we welcome the riders who pause their journey across New York State, to celebrate with us at Field Day for Nick.

We’ll be getting a firetruck es**rt from the fire department over to Elmer Smith Memorial Park, and we’d love for you to be part of this powerful moment of community support.

Wear zebra print or black and white to help us raise awareness for neuroendocrine carcinoma, the rare and difficult cancer Nick is fighting.

In med school, doctors are told: “When you hear hooves, think horses.”�
But sometimes... it’s zebras.

Let’s show up in numbers to remind the world: rare doesn’t mean invisible. And no one fights alone.

Everyone is welcome. Bring your bikes, your field day spirit, and your best zebra stripes!
