Thank you Nebraska Regional Programs for Students Who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (NRPDHH) Coordinators for visiting Nebraska's Biggest Outdoor Adventure.
NRPDHH affiliates choose Happy Jack Peak and Chalk Mine as an enrichment opportunity for the one-of-a-kind youth involved in their program last month.
While Happy Jack Peak is open year-round, the mine is open for tours to the public from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Those interested in private tours are encouraged to visit our website www.happyjackpeakandchalkmine.org to make arrangements.

Representatives of UNK, UNL, UNO, SDSU, and Nebraska Game and Parks joined forces for an extraordinary afternoon of groundbreaking data collection.
While on site, they meticulously weighed, measured, banded and swabbed the thriving Tricolored Bat and Big-Brown bat populations that call Happy Jack Peak and Chalk Mine their home.
For the past two decades these "bat scientists" have pioneered discoveries that continue to illuminate our understanding of these vital species.
