A big thank you to this incredible group of Scituate High School Civics students for organizing a recent food drive to benefit the Scituate Food Pantry!

After reaching out to the pantry with ideas, the students decided to host a collection drive outside Shaw’s Supermarket and shared our May Top Ten Needed Items list with shoppers.

Thanks to their hard work, enthusiasm, and the generosity of Shaw’s customers, they collected more than 200 food items totaling 216 pounds of donations valued at approximately $590.

This is a wonderful example of Scituate’s young people putting compassion and community service into action to support neighbors in need. We are so grateful for their initiative and dedication.

Great work, Bianca, Jillian, Kaylan, and Phoebe! 👏(Pictured with Scituate Food Pantry volunteer Jim Pollard.)

The Scituate Food Pantry is excited to announce a new donation drop-off location in North Scituate!

Thanks to the generosity of Janey Tenaglia and Scituate Pharmacy, a food donation barrel is now available inside the pharmacy for convenient community donations. The donation bin is located inside the front entrance on the left, next to the book swap shelf.

We hope this additional location makes it even easier for North Scituate residents to support neighbors experiencing food insecurity by donating non-perishable food items. All donations will be collected regularly and distributed to local pantry clients throughout our community.

We are incredibly grateful for partnerships like this that help us continue serving Scituate families in need.

Thank you for your ongoing generosity and support.

A heartfelt thank you to the Shaw’s Holiday Nourishing Program and to everyone in our community who participated!

Through this incredible program, the Scituate Food Pantry received more than $7,000 in Shaw’s gift cards (that’s 314 individual $25 gift cards) to help support local families and neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

These gift cards provide pantry clients with flexibility and greater access to fresh foods and household essentials during times when extra support can make all the difference.

We are grateful to Shaw’s and to every customer who donated at checkout during the holiday season. Your generosity continues to have a meaningful impact throughout our community.

Thank you for helping us nourish Scituate neighbors in need.

Thank you Scituate!

The power of community was on full display during this year’s Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive!

Through the kindness and generosity of Scituate residents, the Scituate Food Pantry received approximately 4,800 pounds of food - including many of our most-needed items - along with important monetary donations that will directly support local families experiencing food insecurity.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our Scituate USPS Letter Carriers for their ongoing dedication and partnership, and to every one of our dedicated Scituate Food Pantry volunteers who helped make this large community effort run so smoothly.

We are incredibly fortunate to be part of a town that continually comes together to support one another. Thank you for making a difference.

Huge congratulations to the Scituate 7th Grade Girl Scout Cadettes of Troop 67866 on an outstanding cookie‑season success! 🍪💚

This year, the girls collected donated boxes of all nine cookie varieties for the Scituate Food Pantry — and the community stepped up. Many people added donations to their orders, and one supporter even stopped by their booth to contribute $50 toward cookies for the pantry.

Thanks to their hard work and your generosity, the Cadettes set a new record: 585 boxes donated to the Scituate Food Pantry. Thanks to Sarah Fonseca and some of the girls who delivered all the cookies to the pantry.

On behalf of the pantry’s grateful clients — amazing job, girls, and thank you for making such a meaningful impact in our community.

May is here, and our neighbors need a little extra support.

If you’re heading to the store this week, consider picking up a few of the most-needed items (see the image for the full list).
Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference for local families.

📍 Drop-off donations at the rear of the Pantry, Shaw’s in Cohasset, the Scituate Library and all Scituate churches.

Let’s come together and make May a month of giving 🌼

Thank you to Seaside at Scituate for their continued support of the pantry!

Through their seasonal food drives, the Seaside Community Volunteer Committee consistently shows up for our neighbors. This winter, under the coordination of Leslie Andresen, they donated an incredible 330+ lbs. of food along with $1,200 in financial contributions.

These efforts make a meaningful difference for the families we serve, and we’re so grateful for this ongoing partnership. Be sure to check out the photos of the donation and check presentation!

A big thank you to the Hatherly School community! 💛

Under the leadership of PTO co-chair Meghan Cordeiro, the Hatherly School PTO once again organized a fantastic food drive focused on some of our most popular items. Students collected more than 125 lbs. of hot chocolate, microwave popcorn, and Jell-O—items that are always a hit with the families we serve.

We’re so grateful for the continued support and enthusiasm from these students and families. Take a look at the photo to see their amazing contribution!
