Hope After Loss - Grief Support Group
Sponsored by Scituate Senior Center
Trying to navigate your way thru a profound loss in your life is so very challenging and difficult. And for those who have experienced a loss this year, during the Covid pandemic, the challenges are compound
ed with the fear, stress and anxiety caused by the coronavirus. Mask and social distancing mandates, limits on the size of in-person gatherings, and the shutdown of businesses, organizations and activities has made the healing process more difficult than ever. The usual and traditional support systems, rituals and practices have been disrupted. This has created long periods of isolation and loneliness right at the very time you need family and friends to surround and support you. The Scituate Senior Center is starting a new Grief Support Group to provide support to those in our town and closely surrounding communities who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Susan Drevitch Kelly, Life Coach will facilitate weekly meetings of this new program, providing guidance, insight and support as you navigate your way through your loss and healing journey. There is great healing power in the collective wisdom of group dynamics. Come and join us as we navigate this difficult and challenging journey together. We will meet on Mondays, 3:00-4:30pm beginning November 9th
Until COVID restricttions are lifted, the group will meet on Zoom. Registration is required. If you are interested in learning more about this new group and how to participate, please contact Lisa Thornton, Activities Coordinator at the Senior Center (781-545-8875), or Susan Drevitch Kelly: 781-254-7133 or [email protected].
