💙 Thank You, Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation!

SAIL Home is incredibly grateful to the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation for their generous $3,000 grant in support of our mission!

This marks the second grant Rockland Trust has awarded to SAIL Home, and we are so appreciative of their continued belief in what we are building.

Their support helps us create and sustain supported, affordable housing opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism, while giving our residents the opportunity to live more independently, build community, and thrive in their own homes.

We are especially grateful for Rockland Trust’s partnership—not only for their financial support, but for their genuine interest in helping SAIL grow and bring our model to more communities.

Thank you, Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation, for helping SAIL continue to move forward! ⛵️💙

🏡 Creating New Housing Pathways for Adults with IDD & Autism

Today was an important day for the future of housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and autism.

Marynell Henry of SAIL Home, Andy Richardt of Minute Man ARC, Lesley Eshelman of High Spirits, and Kate DeVane of Island Autismmet with representatives from Senator Elizabeth Warren's office to raise awareness about one of the most pressing challenges facing individuals with IDD and autism and their families: the lack of affordable and appropriate housing pathways.

We came together to share what we are seeing in our communities and to educate policymakers about the need for innovative housing models that provide choice, independence, affordability, and individualized support.

The need is enormous. More than 13,000 adults with disabilities in Massachusetts are currently living at home with family members, and in many cases, their parents are over the age of 60.

Behind that number are thousands of families asking the same difficult question:

“What happens when I can no longer provide a home for my loved one?”

There is no single answer—and that's exactly why we need to create more housing pathways and more innovative models.

Today's conversation was about thinking differently, building partnerships, and finding solutions that allow adults with IDD and autism to live meaningful, independent lives in their communities.

SAIL is proud to be part of this important conversation and grateful to stand alongside organizations and leaders who are working to change the future of housing across Massachusetts.

The need is urgent. The time to create more pathways is now.💙

💙 When you invest in SAIL, you invest in lives.

We are incredibly grateful to the Catholic Health Foundation for naming SAIL a 2026 grant recipient and awarding $5,000 to SAIL Home.

This generous support will help our residents build greater independence through daily living skills, community experiences, and social and recreational opportunities the everyday moments that create confidence, connection, and a life of their own.

Whether it’s learning a new skill, preparing a meal, getting out into the community, trying something new, or simply enjoying time together with friends, these experiences matter. They are the building blocks of independence and belonging.

At SAIL, we believe every adult deserves the opportunity to dream, choose, participate, and thrive.

Thank you, Catholic Health Foundation, for believing in our residents and helping make those opportunities possible. Your investment is making a difference—one resident, one experience, one dream at a time.💙

Celebrating Mother’s Day with creativity, love, and gratitude 🌸💐

Our residents had a wonderful time creating beautiful floral arrangements for their mothers and loved ones. Every bouquet was thoughtfully designed with care, pride, and appreciation for the incredible women who have supported and inspired them throughout their lives.

Moments like these remind us that the smallest gestures often carry the biggest meaning. Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers, caregivers, and maternal figures in our SAIL community and beyond 💖
