Sustainable Scituate

Sustainable Scituate We do this by meeting local needs through local resources. We work with town government to move toward the use of renewable energy.

Group of caring professionals who advocate as coastal residents to reduce dependence on plastics and fossil fuels, reduce waste, promote a common mission to preserve biodiversity and the planet. We show our commitment to conservation by promoting recycling, energy audits of our homes and town buildings, anti-idling in our cars, and the use of durable and reusable shopping bags. We encourage organi

c farming and gardening. We believe in the Local First initiative, supporting our local, independent businesses.

Help our oceans and aquifer by Stopping the lawn treatments

Runoff from rain and irrigation carries fertilizer into water bodies, harming fish and wildlife, causing algae blooms, and contaminating drinking water sources, posing environmental risks. Unless you’ve had your soil tested, you may not need fertilizer. Save money and help protect local waterways.
