Did you know we’re stocked with supplies including clothing, toiletries, and blankets to offer immediate relief in the face of a crisis? These resources are offered through SANDS (Scituate Alliance of Natural Disaster Services) and part of SCC’s mission to serve as a bridge to friends and neighbors suffering hardship.
SANDS was founded to augment the services provided by the Town of Scituate in the face of a crisis including a fire or severe storm to ensure urgent, basic needs are met quickly as individuals and families stabilize.
Both SANDS and SCC would not exist without the vision and guidance of founder Susan Phippen, who humbly dedicated much of her life to the betterment and preservation of Scituate.
