🏥Wellness Wednesday🏥
🦷Cat Dental Health🦷
Cats can be notorious for hiding their pain and dental health is crucial in maintaining overall wellness in your cat.
Preventative care involves daily, or weekly brushing with cat-safe toothpaste, specialized dental diets, and routine cleanings at your veterinarian to avoid painful plaque, tartar and gum disease.
⭐️Signs to watch for:
📌Bad breath
📌Drooling (sometimes with blood)
📌Difficulty chewing & eating
📌Red, swollen gums
📌Visible tartar
📌Pawing at the mouth
📌Poor grooming
❌NEVER use human toothpaste which is highly toxic to cats❌
Annual professional dental examinations and cleanings are essential as part of your cat’s over-all healthcare, even with at-home preventative care.
‼️If you suspect your cat may be suffering from poor dental hygiene, please visit your Veterinarian IMMEDIATELY‼️
