Did you know?

If LB840 isn’t renewed in Schuyler, you’ll still pay the same sales tax in many neighboring communities that already have LB840 programs.

So why not keep those dollars working right here at home?

LB840 isn’t a new tax. It’s a tool that has helped support local businesses, housing, improvements, technical assistance programs, and growth throughout Schuyler.

Ballots will be mailed out next week, so be watching your mailbox. When your ballot arrives, be sure to vote YES for Schuyler Community Development on both LB840 questions and return it as soon as possible by mail or by dropping it off at the ballot drop box.

Keep Schuyler growing. Vote YES on LB840.

Schuyler deserves every opportunity to grow.

Whether it’s technical assistance for a new business, a façade improvement loan, business expansion, housing development, or private investment, LB840 has helped support projects that strengthen our community.

This isn’t a new tax. LB840 has been helping Schuyler grow for years and has played a role in many of the investments, businesses, and improvements you see throughout our community today.

The progress we’ve seen didn’t happen overnight, and the opportunities ahead won’t happen on their own.

Now it’s up to us to decide if we want that work to continue.

Vote YES twice this July.

Keep Schuyler growing. Keep opportunities here.

A lot of people don’t realize that LB840 has been part of Schuyler since 2007.

This is not a new tax. This vote is simply asking residents if we should continue using the same LB840 program that has helped support growth and improvements in our community for nearly 20 years.

Because of LB840, we’ve been able to support projects like Dairy Queen, Cobblestone Hotel, The Notch renovations, community murals, downtown planters, and much more. These are just a few examples of the investments that have helped make Schuyler what it is today.

In the coming days, you’ll receive a mail-in ballot. We ask that you vote YES twice and return your ballot as soon as possible, either by mail or by dropping it off at the Colfax County Courthouse.

The future of Schuyler is something we all have a part in. Let’s keep investing in our community, supporting local growth, and creating opportunities for future generations.

Vote YES twice. Keep Schuyler growing.
