Meet Lonnie Kitt, our Board President and next feature in SCD’s Meet Our Board series!
With 22 years on the Schuyler Community Development Board, Lonnie has seen how much a community can change when people keep investing in its future.
What makes him proud? Taking a closer look at Schuyler’s progress over the past 10 to 15 years. New housing, new businesses, fewer vacant buildings and improvements throughout town tell a story that can be easy to overlook when you see it every day.
For Lonnie, those changes are worth recognizing. He sees Schuyler making progress that stands out among communities its size.
What keeps him excited? The strong support for renewing LB840, which he sees as a sign that residents want Schuyler to keep moving forward. He also credits the dedicated SCD Board, staff and Chamber for their continued work toward the community’s future.
