Our 181-acre campus propels our education and conservation mission. Center for Urban Habitats (CUH) advances biodiversity education and conservation by offering the following services:
• Ecosystem Restorations: We restore indigenous ecological communities on all scales with a strict ecological model, for private and public entities
• Biological Survey: We conduct education-based biological surveys for private and public entities
• Education: We create education programming related to our projects, for schools, clubs, and other public and private groups, all focused on local ecology and biodiversity
• Publication: We publish materials related to native plants, animals, and habitats
• Research: We accomplish research related to natural Piedmont grasslands, birds, and butterflies
• Local Genotype Plant Nursery: We maintain a local genotype native plant nursery partnership to fulfill all of CUH's installation needs, and provide the general public with quality local native plant material
• Trail Design and Installation: We design trails that guide users through ecosystems. The trails unite cultural and natural elements to highlight the stories in a landscape, while conserving biodiversity. Let us help you find that balance between access and conservation on your lands
