Lenny Kravitz makes music with a bunch of teenagers, just like we do at the 3-day RYLA camp, plus all kinds of other really, really, crazy & fun stuff: April 17, 18 & 19.

Tell all the juniors you know to contact their local Rotary Club and tell them they want to go!

It doesn't matter what else is happening that weekend. We can most likely work around it.

Who knows, "Maybe Lenny will show up!"

Amazing Rotary Teenagers In Action Feeding the Hungry:

The newly formed Auburn Rotary InterACT Club served over 400 people in Auburn today, with over 500 Pounds of Donated Turkey and other food, at their Community Thanksgiving Dinner.

Asking for Free-Will Donations, they raised enough money to feed over 10,000 children and hungry people around the world, ...and around the corner!

These eager teens are inspired organizers, who believe in pulling the community together to help the needy!

This is one brave girl. She is a Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Graduate. This year she was a Senior Advisor at RYLA.

And this Summer she is leaving to study at a University in Taiwan for the coming year, as part of the Rotary Youth Exchange Program.

We are all so proud of her and happy for Maricarmen.

On June 25th Assistant District Governor Elaine Hanson hosted a retreat at Peru State College for the Peru Rotaract Club, and formation of The Auburn Interact Club. Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Graduate, Taylor Santana, organized talented Auburn teenagers to attend, and to develop a plan of action for their Interact Journey.

In less than 24 hours the Auburn future Interactors had solicited donations for 20 cases of bottled water to be taken to the Tornado disaster site in Pilger. "Way to go, Auburn Interactors!"

Go to the photos on this page, and see how 9 Schuyler Teenagers quickly responded to urgent needs from the Deadly Pilger Tornado.

On Monday, June 16th 2014, deadly tornadoes devastated the little town of Pilger, Nebraska, killing two people.

Rescue teams worked day & night on Monday and Tuesday.

Also on Tuesday, service-minded Schuyler, Nebraska, teenagers sprang into action. They contacted the Stanton County Sherriff's Department, The American Red Cross, and the Salvation Army to find out what needed to be done. Then they contacted community organizations and businesses to gather donations and supplies.

On Wednesday, 6 teenage boys, 3 teenage girls, 2 parents, 2 Benedictine Priests, (one little girl), and the 2014-15 District Chairman for Rotary Interact SuperGroups, and Rotaract District 5650 caravanned in 5 vehicles, bringing a flatbed trailer of bottled water on pallets (donated by The Schuyler Rotary Club), and a quantity of Burrito House burritos to the disaster site.

During the morning hours these members from the Schuyler Community were trained at the high school in Wisner, Nebraska, and then bussed to Pilger, where they were immunized for tetanus, given instructions, and then went into the wreckage to help the residents dig through rubble looking for pets and salvageable items.

This is the essence of what Rotary Interact is: service-minded teenagers (ages 12-18) who like to have fun by helping others.
