Schoharie Scouts - Pack 4 & Troop 4

This is the page for Schoharie Cub Scout Pack 4 and Schoharie Scout Troop 4. Provide service to others. Build self-confidence.

Contact us to find out when the Cub Scout den and Scout troop meetings are happening! For more than 100 years, Scouting programs have instilled in youth the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Today, these values are just as relevant in helping youth grow to their full potential as they were in 1910. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives. The Boy Scouts of America provides youth with programs and activities that allow them to

Try new things. Reinforce ethical standards.

The Scouts of Schoharie Troop 4 spent this weekend in Northern New York State in the Thousand Islands, attending the World Brotherhood Camporee.

What a great time… and just a reminder that there is never a bad time to consider joining our scouting program…

Our second week back into this year scouting program… And we are already batting 1000!

Absolutely love watching the kids having a little fun amongst themselves before the meeting starts… Could be kickball or wiffle ball! This Wednesday night meeting itself was a review of what our Scouts need for their next rank, followed by some homemade ice cream! What a night!!

Just a reminder that there is never a wrong time to consider joining the scouting program. You might have a kiddo that is looking to join Cub Scout Pack 4 and is in elementary school up through grade 5. Or maybe you have a kiddo that’s a little older, grade six six and up and might be interested in joining Troop 4. Contact us for more information!

The Scouts of Schoharie Troop 4 spent this weekend camping, cooking and helping with fall camp cleanup activities at Camp Kingsley, our district scout camp, located just north of Rome, New York. This was held at the same time that our Order of the Arrow Lodge welcomed into their ranks, new member Cooper Meyers, and also elected Caleb Delaet as their treasurer. Congrats to our Scouts… It was a great weekend filled with good eats, great weather, and even better memories!

Yeah…Troop 4…. we do this kind of stuff…😎

The Scouts of Schoharie Troop 4 had an excellent day today. The weather was perfect, so with a little help from the Schoharie County Youth Bureau, we visited at Otsego Lake and Glimmerglass State Park. Between a little hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding and football things don’t get much better than this.

If you have a youth in your household or know of someone that would enjoy these type of adventures, please reach out to us. We’d love to have a conversation!

In case you haven’t read either of our local newspapers… Schoharie Pack 4 and Troop 4 have something to shout about! We recently held our spring Court of Honor and our annual Arrow of Light bridging ceremony. Both of these events acknowledge the hard work and effort that our Scouts have put into learning new skills and achieving their next ranks.

We are especially proud of Beckett, Mason, Henry, and Carter as they move up from the younger Webelos program into the older Scouts of Troop 4. Speaking of Troop 4, one of our more senior Scouts, Cooper, recently received the rank of Star Scout… Only two ranks away from the rank of Eagle Scout.

Congratulations! Looking forward to more adventures this summer!

Our Scouts had a great time at the Gas Up in Gallupville this weekend. Our troop has a long-standing tradition of earning community service hours by helping with trash pick up at the event. Also, this year, we were joined by our neighbor, ClaraBelle, who helped us with our “barnyard bingo” fundraiser! Looking forward to seeing you next weekend at Gas Up!

What a great night at the Schoharie community pool. Our Scouts spent the evening practicing their water rescue skills.

Thank you Jan for opening it up!

We had an excellent time in the Schoharie Memorial Day parade on Thursday night. Thank you Schoharie fire department for including us in the flag ceremony at the beginning of the parade. Thank you also to our parent photographer Liz for snapping pictures of our youth in action

A scout is kind.

And this is why we appreciate our Scouts and their families. Not everyone gives up their evening to decorate the flags of Veterans…
