For those who attend the NROs like I do I find the best thing about them is the rotation of locations to offer a chance to visit caves you might not normally get the chance to. Plus the different locations from in the past Harley Rendezvous, Thatcher Park, Natural Stone Bridge ect and now Privacy Campground allow less stagnation of the "been there done that" feeling.
Some grottos are larger than others and can put on a bigger event than others, but overall the commitment is the same, to have a nice weekend to meet other cavers and share experiences.
With that I would also like to thank the NRO committee as well.
Those who attend might not now the effort that the grotto has to put in to make it happen, unless you also volunteer to help your grotto pull it off.
That's my rant on this.
Thank you
What are your thoughts on NRO weekends?

So putting out a feeler for August trips. Meet up timed TBD
August 11th to Knox
August 17th or 18th one a day trip, one a moonlight trip if interested.
AUGUST 23rd
August 25th.
Going to also offer trips to Clarksville as people request.
Working on getting dates and requesting permits to Onesquetha as well, but I don't want to book too much as one time.
For our newer members Knox is a bit more involved than Schoharie or Clarksville with a ladder and a slab.
September will have more Onesquetha and Clarksville trips, plus maybe a couple too Schoharie permits pending.
Last trip for season for many caves is a Monday September 30th and would be glad to do last season trip to either Schoharie or Clarksville. Either on the 30th or that weekend.
Still looking to put together a trio to Ravena and Hanicroix Maze, and Kingston and Salamander Cave.
For those looking at vertical trips and or training also hoping to get our vertical skilled members to see when they would be free to do them. Remember vertical trips are for those who have shown vertical ability.
Thank you.
Events will be posted as the days approach.
