Our inaugural production will be A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters at the beautifully renovated 181-seat Rao Theater on the Fulton-Montgomery Community College campus.
Love Letters is a tender, tragi-comic, and nuanced examination of the shared nostalgia, missed opportunities, and deep closeness of two lifelong, complicated friends.
Sizzle & Steak Productions was founded on the premise that area audiences are looking to see shows that will excite and emotionally connect with them and feature compelling storylines, believable performances and artistic proficiency.
Beyond artistic expression, community theater is important for a variety of reasons, perhaps none more so than that it teaches folks about the importance of team building and working well with others. It also helps give all people access to arts in the Capitol Region.
It is our sincerest hope that, in our own small way, what we have created will help keep the local theater scene vibrant and thriving.

Spanning the twenty five years from boyhood to the opening of The Glass Menagerie, this one man show evokes the evolution of an American genius through his extraordinary correspondence with family, friends, lovers and other writers. Hilarious, raunchy and poetic in turn, the piece spotlights these fairly obscure years in William's life. Here is a young Thomas Lanier Williams growing up, exploring and finding his artistic voice as Tennessee Williams.
Harbinger Theatre will produce impactful Capital Region premieres by underrepresented playwrights, creating more opportunities for al theater goers interested in change.

Andrew Burger, Artistic Director
Location: St. John the Evangelist Church (Sch’dy)
3 pm – ticketed event
The program features The Cloud Messenger, a sweeping and rarely performed masterpiece by Gustav Holst. This performance is a rare opportunity to encounter a richly textured work that few audiences have the chance to hear live. Paired with Schicksalslied, Johannes Brahms’s luminous meditation on fate and transcendence, the program offers a compelling exploration of human longing across cultures and centuries. Plenty of parking at rear of church.
Mission: Sharing the best of choral music with the Capital region.
