On behalf of the AZM Board, we extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who took time out of your busy schedules to attend yesterday’s memorial and celebration of life for our late President, His Excellency Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, held at HYATT House Chicago / Schaumburg, 1251 American Lane, Schaumburg, IL 60173.

Your presence, prayers, and unity meant so much. It was a powerful display of love and solidarity—not only with the Lungu family but with the entire Zambian community, both at home and abroad.

🕊️ Condolences on the Passing of Former President Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu 🕊️

It is with deep sorrow that the Association of Zambians in the Midwest (AZM) joins the nation and the global Zambian community in mourning the passing of His Excellency Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, the 6th President of the Republic of Zambia.

President Lungu served with dedication, humility, and a commitment to peace and unity. His leadership left an indelible mark on our country’s history, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Lungu family, the people of Zambia, and all who were touched by his service and leadership. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may God comfort all those who mourn him.
