ISANTA continues to demonstrate leadership in ASTM International, with key roles in the F16.05 subcommittee on Driven and Other Fasteners.

Robert Leichti, PhD, ISANTA Director of Technical Resources, has been appointed Chair, and Erin Koss, Senior Code Compliance Engineer at PrimeSource Building Products and ISANTA Board Vice Chair, has been appointed Secretary.

ASTM F16.05 develops standards that define performance, testing, materials, and corrosion resistance for nails, staples, and other fasteners used in wood and engineered construction.

We congratulate Dr. Leichti and Erin Koss on their appointments and thank them for their continued leadership in advancing the industry.

ISANTA is pleased to welcome Robert Leichti, PhD, as our incoming Director of Technical Services!

Dr. Leichti brings extensive experience across ASTM committees, ICC-ES, and the American Wood Council, and he previously served on the ISANTA Board of Directors. He will work alongside our retiring Technical Resources Consultant, Rick Allen, through June 30 to support a smooth transition.

Dr. Leichti’s background, including more than a decade of leadership at Simpson Strong‑Tie and his current role as an ANSI representative to ISO TC165 WG7, makes him an outstanding fit for this position.

ISANTA celebrates the announcement of STAFDA’s 2026 officers and committee members, elected during the 49th Annual Convention & Trade Show in Phoenix:

-Matt Kitchens, VP of Sales at California Service Tool, Inc., steps into the role of STAFDA President.
-Erika Scherman, President & Owner of MC Tool & Safety Sales, joins as STAFDA Vice President.
-Blake Larsen (C.F.C. Supply) and Bill Gottmeier (Denali Industrial Supply) were elected to three-year Board terms.

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2025 ISANTA Annual Meeting in Phoenix, AZ last month! Representatives from 13 member companies came together to discuss industry issues, participate in the Tool and Fastener Committee meetings, attend the annual membership meeting, and commemorate ISANTA’s 50th Anniversary.

A highlight of the event was the keynote address, “Digital Doppelgangers – How Savvy Industrial Manufacturers Are Augmenting Their Unique Talents Using the Magic of AI”, delivered by bestselling author and internationally acclaimed speaker Andrew Davis.
