Happy Settlers Days, Marengo! Your Cub Scout Pack created a few scarecrows to protect Main Street. We have a few more to get out, but you can visit our friends already on duty outside Pointers, Dino's Flatlander Market, and Wild Hare. When you are celebrating Saturday Night on Main, or visiting a local business, take a picture with one of our friends and tag us! Let's have some fun!

We had so much fun at our Pack Picnic today! There was food, chaos, a water relay, laughter, and cub cars. We hope that everyone who came out to visit had just as much fun! We really enjoyed meeting all of you! We, also, loved officially meeting our new scouts and their families!

A scout is prepared, and sometimes that preparation is making the hard decision to postpone an event. Sadly, that's what we are doing today. We are postponing our Pack Picnic for the safety of our scouts, guests, and families due to lightning and thunderstorms predicted during the duration of our event. We hope you can come out on the new date- Sept. 13 at the Park District at 3pm!
In the meantime, if you want more information about Cub Scouts, send us a private message or email us at [email protected].

We recently participated in a flag retirement ceremony with American Legion Kishwaukee Post 192, Troop 247 Marengo IL, Girl Scouts Marengo Troop 222, Girl Scout Troop 754, and Girl Scout Troop 1982. After learning how to properly retire our nation's flag, the scouts of Troop 247 helped our cubs retire all of the flags Marengo and Union have donated over the year. We are honored to be part of this yearly event.
