πŸŽ“πŸš” Congratulations to Schaumburg's newest SLEA graduates!

Please join us in congratulating Officer Romanescu, Officer Ordaz, Officer Davis, Officer Malej, Officer Campuzano, Officer Vazquez, Officer Avila and Officer Siles, who graduated from the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy (SLEA) on August 14!

Over the past 16 weeks, these officers have dedicated themselves to the hard work, training and preparation required for a career in law enforcement. We are incredibly proud of their commitment and all they have accomplished along the way.

While the academy may be behind them, the next chapter is just beginning! The Schaumburg Police Department's Training Division and Field Training Officers are excited to welcome them back as they begin their field training and continue preparing to serve the Schaumburg community.

Congratulations to Officer Dan Fromm! πŸ‘

The Village of Schaumburg is proud to congratulate Police Officer Dan Fromm on being named the Illinois American Legion Police Officer of the Year!

Officer Fromm received this prestigious honor for his outstanding courage, professionalism and dedication to public safety. His nomination highlighted his heroic efforts to rescue a person from a burning vehicle, an extraordinary act of bravery and commitment to protecting others.

This recognition also marks the second consecutive year a Schaumburg Police Department officer has received the award. Last year, Community Engagement Officer Emily Zuhr was honored for her leadership in establishing the department's Quality of Life Division and strengthening community partnerships.

We are grateful to the American Legion for recognizing their outstanding work and dedication to their profession and the Schaumburg community.

CPAAAS would like to thank Maria McCarthy for speaking at our June members' meeting. Maria is a former States Attorney for Cook County and is currently teaching Criminal Justice at Harper College. She used one of her former cases, which was a cold case, to help demonstrate the type of work states attorneys go through to prosecute suspects. It was a very informative and interesting presentation!
