CPAAAS would like to thank Maria McCarthy for speaking at our June members' meeting. Maria is a former States Attorney for Cook County and is currently teaching Criminal Justice at Harper College. She used one of her former cases, which was a cold case, to help demonstrate the type of work states attorneys go through to prosecute suspects. It was a very informative and interesting presentation!

The Schaumburg Police Department congratulates 16 graduates of its spring Citizen Police Academy! Thank you to these residents for strengthening community partnerships and supporting Schaumburg PD!

Cop On a Rooftop is this Friday, May 15. To the CPAAAS volunteers who signed up to help: check your e-mails for your schedule and assignment, dress appropriately for the weather, and don't forget to wear your uniform and ID - or CPAAAS jacket for the cooler hours. Schaumburg's locations are at 477 W. Golf Rd, and 1440 N. Meacham Rd. Whether or not you're able to volunteer, please consider giving; all proceeds benefit Special Olympics. Of course we prefer you give at one of the two Schaumburg locations, but if that's not possible here's a link to other midwest locations - including Illinois. https://www.coponarooftop.com/ Here are several photos from last year at the Golf Rd. location.
