So creative, so much fun! These kids are either super imaginative, or they know their teachers super well...or both!

The students at MMSA Lorraine participated in an unforgettable event. The Lion Heart Experience came to the campus, and students learned to turn a mess into a masterpiece with art, music, and by treating others with kindness and respect.

The Lion Heart Experience goes beyond anything we have previously witnessed. Our attempt to rap does not come close to their creativity and professionalism, and we hope our students forever carry the positive messages that they learned on this day.

For all of our and viewers with a sharp eye, we have a fun game to add for this month's newsletter. At one point in the video, our host wears a robe from one of the four Hogwarts Houses. Which house do you think he pertains to? Tell us in the comments!

We close week by highlighting some of the schools whose students make an effort to help others. While "the community" can be defined in so many ways, we want to include how communities can be created within the schools themselves.

Communities extend beyond walls and halls, and into our lives. We join along with others to find ways in which we can be of service, and to learn and grow together. These are some of the components that are just as important and relevant as the content in each teacher's lesson plans, and we hope that our communities grow and expand as more students are welcomed.

Thank you for helping one another, for showing that service to our communities is fun, educational, uplifting, and impactful.

We take a moment to salute and congratulate our friends at Indiana Math And Science Academy West for this tremendous accomplishment!

NUMBER 1 in English Language Arts, Math, and Both Subjects Combined - for both Black Students as well as English Learners (as ranked by Indiana’s Learning Evaluation and Assessment Readiness Network (ILEARN))!

The school also ranked 1st in 7th grade math (for Indianapolis), 2nd place overall for top math scores.

And they received a ZERO (in a great way) for the number of 3rd and 7th grade students who fall below proficiency in ELA.

This is a lot to pack and a lot to celebrate! WOW, WHAT AN HONOR!! Congratulations to the educators, leaders, students, staff, and the entire community!

We see this not as students serving the community, but rather as a community reaching out to serve the school. The team at 7 Brew Coffee in Austintown did something so incredibly nice for the staff at Horizon Science Academy Austintown, that it deserves recognition.

Our schools are members of the community, and thus we are grateful to local businesses for their willingness to contribute their services to assist us in any way. These small acts of kindness go a VERY long way.

☕️💙 A huge thank you to 7 Brew of Austintown for stopping by and treating our teachers and staff to an amazing selection of coffee, tea, and refreshing drinks! We truly appreciated your thoughtful gift and loved having so many delicious choices to enjoy.

We’re wishing you all the best for a successful and promising opening! We hope you’ll come visit us again soon.

Thank you for thinking of our staff and helping make their day a little brighter! 🥤☕️💙
