Happy Father’s Day from Giving Group.

Today, we honor the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, father figures, mentors, and role models who help shape lives through their presence, support, and unwavering care.

Fatherhood is often found in the everyday moments — the lessons shared, the encouragement offered, the sacrifices made, and the quiet acts of love that help others grow with confidence and resilience. The impact of that guidance reaches far beyond a single day and leaves a lasting mark on families, communities, and future generations.

Thank you to all those who lead with kindness, integrity, and compassion. Your influence matters more than you may ever know.

Wishing you a meaningful Father’s Day filled with appreciation, connection, and the people who matter most.

Today, Giving Group recognizes Juneteenth.

Observed on June 19, Juneteenth commemorates the day in 1865 when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

As we reflect on this day, we honor the history behind it, the generations who carried hope forward, and the ongoing work of creating a more compassionate and equitable future.

This weekend, our Giving Group team had the honor of visiting SOUL Harbour Ranch Animal Therapy Program and Chicagoland Dog Rescue to award $7,500 checks to each organization, made possible by the generosity of our incredible sponsors and community.

These gifts will help provide real, meaningful care for animals who give so much back. From therapy animals who bring comfort and connection, to rescue dogs preparing for a safe and loving future, this impact will be felt in big ways.

Our Junior Ambassadors also got to spend time with the animals and help groom sweet GiGi, making the visit even more special. Moments like these remind us why this work matters and how powerful it is when people come together for a good purpose.

To every sponsor, donor, volunteer, and supporter who helped make these checks possible, thank you. Your generosity is creating care, comfort, and second chances.

This check means real impact. Thank you to the amazing volunteer team at CDR and Georgene Mengarelli for giving us an opportunity to be a part of the difference you make in the lives of the rescued pets.
