The MSP is honored to share a proclamation recognizing April 23 – 29 as Medical Laboratory Professionals Week in Missouri. Over the last few weeks, the proclamation has visited eight of the many laboratories throughout Missouri. Its first stop was with the wonderful team at Mercy Hospital South Laboratory professionals work tirelessly to provide high quality and reliable testing and results to all patients. Their work in the prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases helps save countless lives every day.

DEADLINE APPROACHING: Applications for the MSP’s Excellence in Research travel grant are due next Friday, March 10! The MSP is excited to offer this grant and our members are looking forward to learning about your research at our upcoming annual conference on Saturday, April 22 in Columbia. We are seeking current residents, fellows, and medical students in Missouri training programs with research in the areas of Anatomic or Clinical Pathology, Practice Management, Pathology Education, or Informatics. The MSP is pleased to again offer the Excellence in Research travel grant to pathologists in training across Missouri! We are seeking residents, fellows, and medical students with research in the areas of Anatomic or Clinical Pathology, Practice Management, Pathology Education, or Informatics. Applicants must be a current resident or fellow in a Missouri pathology training program or medical school. Awardees will provide a 10-minute platform presentation followed by a Q&A session at our upcoming annual conference on Saturday, April 22 in Columbia.
