🥫 MAKE A DIFFERENCE — HELP LOCAL FAMILIES IN NEED 🧡

With the strong possibility that SNAP benefits may be unavailable for many local families on November 1st, Storm Lake Radio and Hy-Vee Storm Lake are teaming up to collect donations for area food pantries in Buena Vista, Cherokee, Sac, Ida and other surrounding counties.

🛒 Items Needed:
Shelf-stable foods, canned meats, cereal, pancake mix, ramen, soups, juice, crackers, honey, and more.

💵 Monetary, frozen, or fresh meat donations can be dropped off at Storm Lake Radio (910 Flindt Dr) and other shelf stable items directly to Hy-Vee in Storm Lake.

📅 Join us live at Hy-Vee on Wednesday, November 5th from 12–2 PM as we come together to support our neighbors during this time of crisis.

Every item makes a difference — let’s fill the shelves and help feed our communities. 💪

4th Annual HKMTR SCHOLARSHIP WINNER ANNOUNCMENT!!!

"The awardees for this year's scholarship showed their passion and dedication to lowa Agriculture! These candidates' hard work ethic, dedication to agriculture and conservation, and strong religious background make them quality candidates for this scholarship!" states President Kirk A. Langner.

Kirk also states that, "ELEVEN area High School Seniors applied to receive a scholarship this year, Harold would still be extremely honored to see all of these applicants." He continues to state, "we as a Board of Directors have voted to add an additional $500 scholarship this year due to the overwhelming number of applications!"

There are two applicants receiving a scholarship in the amount of $500 and two applicants receiving a scholarship in the amount of $250.

We're TWO DAYS away from our 9th Annual Ride!

With that being said - there is road construction on Highway 110, which is the road that gets you to the Re*****on Seeds plant just north of Schaller, our registration and meeting location.

IF YOU ARE COMING FROM THE SOUTH - through Schaller:
-You will want to be careful right near Sparky's in town as that is where they started the road work, and there is a pretty hefty drop, which results in a big bump.

IF YOU ARE COMING FROM THE NORTH:
-There shouldn't be any major issues - at least that we foresee at this point as the roadwork crew is currently almost to Storm Lake.

We will update this tomorrow AND Saturday morning when we see for sure where the crew is working... This construction SHOULD NOT affect the actual ride in anyway.
