Fun day of Learning and Canning for some of our Members and local Clover Kids 🍀💚

Wow!
These kids are showing interest and bringing back the lost art of canning! Today was so fun for me. We spent the morning making strawberry jam and the afternoon was filled with salsa!
During this canning workshop; kids learned safe canning practices, canning terms and tools, and have a project ready for the fair. I’m so impressed with these kids and wish them the best of luck on judging day! 🍀 #4-H

If you can’t make it to Achievement Day and need to buy wristbands, etc… this would be a great day to go to the extension office! 🤩🍋

When we think of the fair, one thing that comes to mind is a cold, fresh cup of lemonade!

Stop by our office and grab a refreshing drink from Squeeze-M Lemonade! They will be set up in our parking lot on June 30th starting at 10:00 A.M.

County fairs will soon be underway. Iowa 4-H members planning to exhibit a food product should pay close attention to food safety guidelines for prepared and preserved foods as outlined in the Foods for Iowa 4-H Fairs Quick Reference Guide for 2026. 🫙 Learn safe canning and food preservation techniques

The Schaller Shamrocks apparel order deadline has been extended to MAY 28!

4-H families — it is very important to get shirts ordered as our members will need them for:
• Popcorn Days Parade
• Working the popcorn stand
• Fair static judging
• Animal showing
• other club activities as well

We need to get our final order submitted soon, so please make sure to place your order before the new deadline. 💚
