We will be selling a variety of homemade goodies,
including fudge, truffles, peanut butter buckeyes,
toffee, chocolate covered Oreos, raspberry almond
shortbread cookies, chocolate chip cookies,
various sweet breads, Charlotte's blueberry muffins,
homemade granola, Swedish nuts, and more!
Unfortunately, there will be no Knickerbocker
pies for sale at the bake sale.

An Invitation to Attend Knickerbocker Historical Society’s Knick-at-Night - October 27 & 28, 2023 starting at 5:00 p.m.

Please join us under the Light of October’s Full Moon for our Knick-at-Night Souper Supper and Ghostly Mansion Tours at Knickerbocker Mansion on 132 Knickerbocker Road in Schaghticoke, New York.

Savor the experience of a candlelit tour of our 18th century historic Mansion before settling comfortably in your seat, drifting back to days gone by as you encounter the Ghosts of an Indian, along with Knickerbocker family members & friends. They will regale you by vignette with vivid memories of their lives and adventures from generations ago, as they are only able, once per year, at October’s end! Your tour will conclude with an optional guided visit to the Knickerbocker Cemetery.

Dine on our Autumn Night foods in our enclosed Knickerbocker Pavilion. Fortify yourself before, or restore yourself after your Ghostly Mansion visit with our Souper Supper. Enjoy hot steaming crocks of new England Clam Chowder, Potato Bacon Leek Soup, Chili, Tortellini Sausage Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup, Autumn Sweet Potato Carrot Soup, or Vegan Veggie Soup with Bread & Butter, Cornbread and Dessert along with Hot Coffee, Hot Tea, Hot Chocolate or Lemonade.

Dinner is served at 5:00 p.m. and the Ghostly Mansion Tours begin at 6:00 p.m. Reservations are required for the tours by calling 518-588-7130.

The Knickerbocker Mansion is considered the most significant historic building in Upper Rensselaer County, located in the Hoosic River Valley near Tomhannock Creek. Built by Johannes and Elizabeth Knickerbocker in the 1780s, the Mansion's architecture is of a rare Middle Ages style. Come to the spot steeped in history, where the Knickerbockers lived since the early 1700s and where the Witenagemot Oak Peace Tree was planted in 1676 signaling peace between the Indians, the Dutch settlers, and New York Province’s Governor Andros.

The Knickerbocker Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all fundraising money directly funds the preservation and restoration of the Knickerbocker Mansion
