In a commitment we made over five years ago, to remember Tyler and the service he wanted to do, we present you with our 6th annual tournament, to raise funds for the Tyler Horst Nonprofit Foundation. Proceeds support student scholarships, monetary support to the Navy SEAL Foundation and the Tyler Horst Nutrition Center at Bloomsburg University. ⛳️

Five years ago today, we laid Tyler to rest, in a family cemetery next to his great-grandmother and great-grandfather. We share today in reflection and solace these events that still seem so surreal. 5 years seems like such a big number, yet, it sometimes feels like its only been 5 seconds. We miss him so much and are so thankful for all the participants in his foundation who support the love and memory of Tyler! ❤️
We never forget Tyler and he is always in our hearts.

-Our last picture of you, 11 days before you passed. I snapped this picture unknowingly it would be your last, as you were on the way out for a run.

-The day before your funeral, a local CrossFit community dedicated a workout specifically made to honor you. Your brother Ben and best friend Mitch would lead it.

-On Tuesday after you passed away, Coach Sheptock, BU football coach, would hold a live virtual memorial for you and 90 teammates and coaches joined. They shared admirations, laughs, prayers and tears. Many family and friends are sitting behind me soaking it all in. I shared tears and gratitude for the love they shared with us.

-The flag you passed on your final morning remained at half staff throughout the week until your burial. Later, LCCF would deliver this flag to us in your memory.

-5 years ago today, your family awaiting the visitation line to commence during a pandemic.

-Mourners saying a final goodbye.

-During your eulogy, a brilliant ray of sunshine illuminated the front of the church and that moment has brought me much peace and consolation during the past 5 years.

-The NCAA would tweet their condolences, the morning of your funeral service.

As we are closing in on the end of 2025, we share, with gratitude, that Tyler J. Horst Memorial Foundation donated over $33,000 to various recipients this year, including Bloomsburg University Tyler Horst Football Endowment Scholarship, Tyler Horst Nutrition Center, Navy SEAL Foundation, Forever Friends Memorial Run, Individual ELCO Student Scholarship and ELCO Wrestling.

Tyler, time marches on but our hearts never forget. When we get sad and solemn, we remember your grit, your will and your toughness. Thank you for the inspiration!❤️💪😘
