The Friday night campfire is a Troop 2 tradition marking the end of a fun and successful week at summer camp. Scouts take turns sharing their Rose, Bud, and Thorn—a thing they liked, a thing they didn’t like, and a thing they’re looking forward to. Troop 2 Scarsdale

Troop 2 Scarsdale has been meeting at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale for the 79 years. The troop consists of boys between the ages of 11 and 18. Troop 2 Scouts learn first aid and life safety skills, and engage in a range of activities throughout the year, including canoeing, white water rafting, skiing, hiking, rock climbing, camping, cooking and backpacking. During their regular camping trips, the boys learn about fire safety and the proper use of knives and axes, all set in an outdoor atmosphere where scouts gain real hands-on experience and practice their leadership skills.
