Robbie Foundation RF helps children with special needs by funding adaptive equipment, assistive technology & therapies.

The Robbie Foundation is dedicated to assisting children with developmental disabilities* (including, but not limited to physical disabilities, speech and language delays, sensory integrated disorders, cerebral palsy, brain injury, autism spectrum disorders, mental retardation). We serve children between the ages of birth and 20 years residing in the state of Maine. Our primary mission is to fund adaptive equipment, assistive technology, therapy treatment and/or any necessary item not covered by insurance. By providing such services, our hope is to improve the quality of life for children with special needs.

When your child outgrows something they rely on every day, what happens when replacing it just isn’t financially possible?

For families of children with disabilities, essential equipment can be expensive and children don’t stop growing just because the equipment is costly. We know how challenging these moments can be. ❤

Seizure detection watches and devices use sensors to monitor changes in movement and other physical signals that may indicate a seizure. When a possible seizure is detected, the device can alert a parent, caregiver, or other designated person so they can check on the child and provide assistance.

For children who experience seizures unexpectedly or during sleep, this technology can help caregivers respond more quickly when they might not otherwise know something is wrong. It can also give families greater confidence knowing they have an additional tool to help keep their child safe.
