It’s time for Summerfest! The Gym Dandies will be at Summerfest this Friday, August 21st, and we will have our “Dunk-a-Dandy” dunk tank ready to go! We will also be selling light refreshments and drinks. Grab a snack, try your luck at the dunk tank, and enjoy these last days of summer! See you there!

Our very own Natalie and Noah will be performing in a circus show in the Boston area next weekend! They both spent last summer performing with Circus Smirkus, and next weekend, July 9-11, you can catch them in “Alphabet” presented by Eastern Acrobatics and Circus in Cambridge, Somerville, and Natick. A final congratulations to our Gym Dandies 2026 graduates!

Lily MacLeod has been part of the Gym Dandies for 10 years. Her two older sisters were also Gym Dandies alums, so Lily and her family have actually been involved with the program for even longer!

Lily's favorite memories of the Gym Dandies are the national parade trips, including the Cherry Blossom parade in Washington DC and the trips to Universal Studios. She is most proud of her juggling skills and riding the tall giraffe unicycle.

An important lesson that Lily has learned from her time in the Gym Dandies is, "Practice makes possible.” She says that this saying "was a quote that I continued to remind myself of throughout my time in Gym Dandies and with many other aspects of my life."

Her plans for the fall are to attend Gordon College and study Fine Arts. Her advice to younger Gym Dandies is, "Never give up. Even if it’s hard or seems too difficult, it isn’t: nothing is. Through practice and hard work, anything is possible, and it is so much fun."

We will miss you Lily! We can't wait to see what you do next!

We have a wonderful opportunity to participate in the Boothbay Harbor Windjammer Days parade next Wednesday, June 24th. However, we need at least 25 Gym Dandies, and so far we only have 8 signed up. All levels are welcome, beginners, intermediates, and performance! Please check your email for more information and sign up by tomorrow evening, June 18th. Thank you for helping us make this parade a success!
