The Fix Tier 6 Rally in Albany on March 8th housed over 15,000 attendees! Among them were members of the STA, fighting the good fight and advocating for changes to Tier 6. Governor Hochul also attended the rally and vowed for reform❗️The governor says she’s in support of a more equitable plan after making previous changes to Tier 6 in 2022! Hochul was quoted saying “We’re taking a shorter vesting period from 10 years down to five. And also, I’m fighting for a fairer pension plan because it’s essential that we continue recruiting people.” 💪 Thank you to all of our members that attended 💜⚡

If you are struggling, please utilize the 988 Lifeline, your EAP, or the union’s confidential MAP counseling services, because seeking help is a sign of strength. Victoria calls Caitlin a dedicated and supportive resource, while Caitlin is motivated by helping her mentee find balance and joy.
