I am running for re-election for the Sayreville Board of Education. I have spent the past 3 years on the Board and have learned many things that I did not know prior to running for the BOE. I believe that I have acted in the best interests of the children of Sayreville who I represent. My votes have been based upon the facts and information presented to me for consideration. My opinions have always been my own as I do not support ideas or vote to appease the majority. I am passionate about the things I believe in and I always try to do my best. I would appreciate your support and hope that I am re-elected to continue to serve on the Sayreville Board of Education. Thank you for your consideration and support!

Good Evening. I just want to state for the record that as member of the Sayreville BOE that I will never consider any parent , who comes to a BOE meeting to complain or voice their concerns for their child, a Domestic Terrorist.

I do not support or condone the recent request to have the FBI investigate parents who voice their opinions and their frustrations at a BOE meeting. I have nothing but respect for my fellow parents who care about their children and their education.

This is my personal opinion as afforded to me by the Constitution of the United States of America. I do not speak for other members of the BOE nor is my opinion shared or condoned by the Sayreville BOE.

As everyone should be aware, every member of the Sayreville BOE, including myself, voted yes to abiding by a mask mandate if and when it would be required again by the Governor. This vote was conducted in public a recent BOE meeting. You can watch it online.

I know that many of you are against it and many of you are for it. I voted yes because it will allow our kids to get back into school again for in-person instruction, which in my personal opinion, is in their best interests.

In addition, if we do not abide, our state funding could be reduced or eliminated so we have to abide by the mask mandate or face finacial penalties.

I voted yes as I could not risk putting the taxpayers and the students of Sayreville in financial jeopardy. Our school budget is dependent upon the aid we receive from the State of NJ. With out this aid, we could not pay expenses associated with running our school system.

That is my logic behind my vote. I do not vote for my own interests, I vote for the best interests of every child and every taxpayer in Sayreville.

Murphy is expected to mandate MASKS today at a press conference.

The Sayreville BOE does not have any input on the masks, it is up to the STATE it is up to GOV MURPHY, not the BOE. Our Safe Return Plan says that if masks are mandated, we will follow. All schools have to follow or they lost their state aid and NO school is going to lose millions and millions. They will go with the mandate.

The governor will unveil the new rules during a public event Friday and after insisting the state wouldn’t require masks.

The governor’s office is taking a poll right now whether you want the kids to have masks or not in the school year.

When you call they will ask yes/no/ or optional.

I just called and it’s legitimate. Please voice your opinions.

Pass it on!! Voice your opinion! 609-292-6000

I just called!!!

I would like to squash another false rumor that is being spread around Sayreville pages.

The Sayreville BOE and School District is NOT requiring any student or teacher to be vaccinated. Any info to the contrary is false so don't believe the lies. Dr. Labbe told the public that vaccines are not required at our last BOE Meeting yet the rumors continue. It is the parents and individuals who make their decisions, not the BOE. If you are in doubt, just ask.

Yesterday, Gov. Murphy stated that masks would not be required for school in September. I want to remind everyone that the Sayreville BOE's Safe Return Plan, we will only mandate mask wearing if it is required by the Governor and/or NJDOH. Thus, in light of the recent announcement made, it will no longer be required.

As we head toward November 3rd, I hope that I have convinced enough of you to vote for me as a member of the Sayreville Board of Education. It would be my honor to represent all of the children, their parents and the taxpayers of Sayreville who foot the bill. We have a diverse community and we need more parents on the board. We need to prepare our students, in all grade levels, for the future which at this point may be vastly different than we could have imagined. With me, you get what you see. I am not afraid to voice my opinion and I am not too stubborn to change it. I appreciate the chance to run against a group of fine candidates. Thank you for your consideration and support!
